Publishing an app on the App Store from Algeria: the steps and the traps
Publishing an app on the App Store requires a complete listing, an online privacy policy, screenshots and, if the app has accounts, a demo account that truly works. A demo account that doesn't work is a frequent reason for rejection.

What Apple asks for
Before review you need:
- an Apple developer account;
- a listing: name, description, category, age rating, pricing;
- screenshots at the right sizes;
- a privacy policy available online;
- the data privacy information (App Privacy);
- and, if the app requires login, a demo account for the reviewer.
The demo account
Apple regularly rejects apps whose demo account doesn't work (guideline 2.1). The reviewer must be able to log in and see the app. An account created for automated tests isn't a demo account, and the server must be reachable at review time.
Approval isn't enough
Once the app is approved, check in App Store Connect that the availability countries are enabled. Without that, the app shows up nowhere.
What we carried through
For sejo, we carried the project from brand to publication: the app is live on the App Store.
Practical tips
- 01Prepare the demo account before submitting and test it on a clean device.
- 02Keep the backend online during review.
- 03Check availability by country after approval.

- What does a studio do for publishing?
- It prepares the listing, screenshots, privacy, demo account, submits the app and handles Apple's feedback.
